Core Value #1: Student Empowerment

At the IMPACT Center, student empowerment is at the heart of everything we do. Empowerment means more than just voice and choice—it means agency, confidence, and ownership. Students lead projects, guide peers, and make key decisions about their learning. Classrooms and labs are creative spaces where students are not passive recipients of information but active creators of solutions. You’ll hear students presenting to authentic audiences, advocating for themselves, and engaging in collaborative dialogue. Teachers serve as coaches, offering encouragement and feedback instead of directives. The energy in our building reflects purpose and belonging—where every student is trusted, valued, and capable. Empowerment at IMPACT is visible in the confidence students carry and the pride they take in their learning.

Core Value #2: Community Partnerships

At the IMPACT Center, education is a community effort. Our students engage with business leaders, university faculty, and civic professionals who co-design learning experiences alongside our educators. These partnerships fuel internships, capstone projects, and field-based learning opportunities that prepare students for real-world success. The building is alive with mentors, guest speakers, and industry partners who invest in our students’ futures. You’ll hear conversations that connect classroom learning to the broader world, aligning student goals with workforce demands and community aspirations. These connections make learning deeply relevant and provide students with a powerful network of supporters. At IMPACT, students are not only prepared for the future, they’re already contributing to it.

Core Value #3: Transformative Opportunities

We believe in experiences that stretch, challenge, and inspire. At the IMPACT Center, students may be prototyping inventions, flying aircraft, coding artificial intelligence, or pitching policy solutions. Our programs expose students to college credit, industry certifications, and immersive learning, including travel, competitions, and community-based work. These are not just “nice to have” opportunities; they are defining experiences that push students beyond their comfort zones and unlock their potential. You’ll hear students and teachers reflecting on growth, celebrating failure as a step toward success, and expressing awe at what they are capable of. Students leave IMPACT changed—more courageous, more confident, and more prepared for a world that rewards innovation and bold thinking.

Core Value #4: Life-Ready Leadership

At the IMPACT Center, every student is seen as a leader in the making. Through our partnership with FranklinCovey, students complete eight microcredentials within the Life-Ready Leadership curriculum, progressing through Self-Leadership, Team Leadership, and Impact Leadership. These microcredentials culminate in the Life-Ready Leadership Certificate—an official, nationally recognized credential that certifies a student’s ability to lead with integrity, influence, and vision. Leadership at IMPACT is rooted in real-world application: students lead projects, facilitate team collaboration, manage timelines and outcomes, and present solutions to authentic audiences. Whether they are organizing a community initiative, launching a student-led enterprise, or guiding peers in classroom discussions, students develop the skills and confidence to lead with purpose. Project-based leadership is embedded into every pathway, ensuring that students graduate with not only academic knowledge, but also the adaptive leadership mindset needed to thrive in college, career, and life. At IMPACT, leadership is not a title—it’s a way of thinking, acting, and serving others.

Core Value #5: Purposeful Innovation

Innovation at the IMPACT Center is more than cutting-edge tools or creative ideas—it’s innovation with intention. Purposeful Innovation means students use their curiosity and problem-solving skills to drive meaningful change, whether they’re building prototypes, coding solutions, designing research, or launching community initiatives. Our students are immersed in future-forward experiences that align with real-world needs and personal passions. Educators foster this mindset by blending technology, creativity, and challenge with relevance and reflection. Innovation at IMPACT is always anchored in purpose—every project, design, and discovery is tied to a larger goal of making a difference.
